History

The Greensburg Garden Center was established in 1960 and continues today with an office, extensive horticulture library, workroom, storage area, garden house and garden. Surrounding the building we rent space in (Greensburg Garden and Civic Center) are 4 plus acres which include an arboretum planted in 1969. Currently GGC is working with The Westmoreland Trust, The McKenna Foundation, the city of Greensburg to refresh the arboretum with the ultimate goal of an extensive Arboretum Restoration

Butterfly Garden

 LeFerve Butterfly Garden

We are very proud to able to invite you to visit our Butterfly Garden. The garden is located behind the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center at the Garden House.  It is a new garden planted in July of 2015.

It is with a generous donation from a gardener and butterfly enthusiast that we are able to create this butterfly habitat and platform for learning about these wonderful winged creatures.
